Roles & Responsibilities :
- On-Site Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support and guidance to clients during project installation, commissioning, and start-up phases. Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure proper equipment installation and configuration.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to equipment, systems, and processes. Develop and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities to keep the equipment in good working condition.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and requirements. Act as a primary point of contact for technical inquiries, providing prompt and efficient resolution of issues.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to service activities, including service reports, equipment logs, and customer communications. Provide timely reports on service activities, highlighting key findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions for clients’ personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Share technical knowledge and best practices with team members and stakeholders to enhance overall service capabilities.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all service activities comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Adhere to quality control processes and procedures, following established guidelines and protocols.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for service process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in the field of EPC projects to enhance service delivery.
- Remote Support: Provide remote technical support to clients as needed, utilizing various communication channels and tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and other service professionals, to ensure effective project execution. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain necessary technical support and spare parts.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations while performing service activities. Promote and maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
Skill sets/ Additional Requirements :
- Relevant degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years (BE/BTech), 8-9 yrs (Diploma) of relevant experience as a Service Engineer in EPC project-based industries.
- Able to read PIDs, GADs, Interfacing details/documents, Electrical documents etc.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of equipment, systems, and processes used in the industry.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving methodologies, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic project environment.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required for service assignments.
