Rieco Solution design details

System Description – System 1

The system is designed to vent out fumes and organic vapours from various process vessels in the liquid section. The fumes from the process equipment’s shall be sucked through suction hoods and duct pipes connected to the top of the vessel by creating suction. Butterfly valves are provided for isolation of the fume extraction system when the process equipment is not in operation.

The vapours from various process vessels are directed to a packed bed scrubber through ductwork. The vapour/air enters the scrubber after it is cleaned of contaminants by counter current flow of scrubbing water. The two phases come into intimate contact in the packed bed section and clean gas leaves from the scrubber top to an ID Fan that is responsible for creating suction throughout the system. The fan outlet is connected to a common outlet stack for safe discharge into atmosphere

System Description – System 2

The system is designed to vent out Solid powder + Air from various process like blenders, charging points etc. in the blender section. The dust laden air from the process equipment’s shall be sucked through suction hoods and duct pipes connected to the top of the vessel by creating suction. Butterfly valves are provided for isolation of the extraction system when the process equipment is not in operation.

The powder + air from various points is directed to a bag filter / dust collector through ductwork. The powder + air enters the dust collector; major of heavy solid particles is arrested in the dust collector. Once the particulate matter is cleaned by dust collector or bag filter, it is further cleaned of gaseous contaminants in scrubber system. In scrubber the two phases (water + dust) come into intimate contact and clean gas leaves from the scrubber top to an ID Fan, responsible for creating suction throughout the system. The fan outlet is connected to an outlet duct for safe discharge into atmosphere.

Hoods were supplied with MOC as SS 316, food grade quality. All ducting was supplied in SS 304, food grade with 220 grit finish. Tri-clover clamp fittings were used for the duct connection for easy maintenance and cleaning. Complete ducting provided with quick cleaning nozzles. The packed bed scrubber, water scrubber and exhaust stack MOC considered is PP/FRP suitable to handle the gas. For both the systems, ID fans were designed as per AMCA standards with spark proof design and with impeller in Aluminium MOC.

Results

The desired outlet parameters along with odour removal at the outlet of system were achieved. Also, operators can perform their work efficiently; particulate removal was done efficiently. Working environment hygiene is maintained as per the Global
